Q. Are cameras or video equipment allowed at the shows?
A. Generally we do but each event it will be up to the promoter.

Q. How can I usher at an event?
A. Call HD Professional Services at 316-201-7938.

Q. How many events are held each year at the Coliseum?
A. More than 270 including concerts, family shows, sporting events, livestock and trade shows! That’s more than 700,000 visitors each year.

Q. Can I smoke at the Kansas Coliseum?
A. No. All buildings at the Kansas Coliseum are designated non-smoking. Smoking areas are located outside each building. Fire Marshalls and trained staff monitor and control smoking at all events.

Q. Does the Kansas Coliseum serve alcoholic beverages?
A. We will be selling Cereal Malt Beverages only.  We take special care to ensure that each visitor enjoys a safe visit by carefully checking identification and closely monitoring consumption. We encourage each adult to drink responsibly and drive safely. Trained staff located throughout the facility watch for “handing off” to minors. “Providing alcoholic beverages to a minor is a violation of the law. Any person giving alcohol to minors will be ejected from the facility and will face prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.”

Q. What kind of food is available at events?
A. Of course we serve hot dogs and nachos. In addition you may enjoy dippin dot ice cream, or fresh grilled burgers and chicken strips at the Cadillac Grill. If you’re in the mood for pizza, Papa John’s offers pizza by the slice and breadsticks. All three concession stands are located in the south end of the concourse. Kansas Coliseum provides all the food services.

Q. How many people work at a typical event?
A. As many as 300 people are stage hands, concession workers, ushers, door guards, etc.

Q. How many people will the Kansas Coliseum hold?
A. It depends on the type of event. For instance, Thunder games seat 9,600, whereas a concert in the round allows for 12,400.

Q. I want to work in show business! How can I apply?
A. Since the Kansas Coliseum is owned by Sedgwick County, check www.sedgwickcounty.org

Q. Is the Kansas Coliseum ADA accessible?
A. Yes. ADA parking is located on the east side of the Britt Brown Arena building in addition to the first row of parking around each building. You MUST have an ADA sticker to park in these reserved spots and arrive early to secure your location. The elevator is located just inside the east doors of the Britt Brown Arena. ADA accessible seating is located throughout the arena. Just ask when you order your tickets.

Q. Can I camp at the Coliseum?
A. It’s not necessary to camp out when buying tickets anymore, but Weidemann Park features full hook-ups along a small lake located on the Coliseum campus.
